VOLUNTEERS: HELP PRESERVE HISTORY
As a VHP volunteer, you will collect and assemble histories that might otherwise be lost forever. Tempe Connections is the administrator of the local East Valley Veterans History Project and will provide extensive training for volunteers who wish to help veterans tell their stories.
Volunteers conduct interviews using audio and/or video equipment; complete biographical collection and release forms; assist in collecting photographs, letters, diaries, maps and other documents; assemble and edit materials; and/or may help write a memoir narrative. It’s a meaningful way to give back to our veterans for their service to our country.
To see examples of other interviews we’ve collected, visit Our Archive. To volunteer, please fill out the information form.
